Roster deadline is Wed? This is why i loathe the Japanese games. I have 3 guys on my team who are "Unknown" for Opening Day due to injuries.

Rosters lock 6:05am on Wednesday. We all have injuries, and unfortunately will not know if players will be on the DL until much later. I had to bench Morse and start someone else. It happens. Make your best guess and use your bench accordingly.

If you choose to have an inactive player on your bench (Pettitte) which restricts you to just 3 ML bench players, then that is your decision and you knew that when you put in a claim.

It would be nice if we could make changes to non-Japan series players up until real opening day in the Roster Moves thread. This seems a bit like rewarding those who have A's and M's.

You have one player in your current lineup (Stanton) who is questionable for Opening Day. Morneau is probable. You can put in Ibanez for Stanton. Move Berkman to 1B, bench Morneau and start Schafer (day to day, will play OD unless something drastic happens) in the OF.

This is no different than a player who is injured on Sunday, but doesn't go on the DL before rosters lock on Monday. You need to make a managerial decision -- start the player and take a chance, or start a bench player and play it safe.

Or you can drop players and pick up other ones.

I think CBS allowed the change last year the following week when the games were over in Japan. I wouldn't count on it but I'm almost positive they did.

We didn't start in Japan last year...2008 was the last time.

Oh... but we still had a few games that counted as week 1 before a Monday and we could change the rosters though. I could be confusing the Japan thing but there is a possibility that CBS will allow the roster change.

Last year was a long week one, but all games were played in the US. There was no way to change players mid-week.

The only problem I have is setting up pitching. I can't see past the first 5 games. CBS is being a douche this year.

In your team, click on "Schedule" and it should show you the whole period.

The real problem is SP don't have a baseball by their name showing they're scheduled to pitch...

It's this Wednesday (SEA-OAK) and Thursday (SEA-OAK), then 4/4 (STL-MIA only), 4/5 (7 games), 4/6 (8 series that did not start on 4/5, plus SEA-OAK), 4/7 and 4/8. 4/7 and 4/8 are full (15 game) days.

A total of 49 games.

A typical week would be 90-100 games.

I actually woke up at 6 to watch the game. And root against Felix. Damn scheduling, out of all the pitchers in the league in this half-week of games, I'm facing Felix - twice.
