Joba.... Dislocated ankle
By Curtis Eichelberger
March 23 (Bloomberg) -- New York Yankees pitcher Joba
Chamberlain dislocated his right ankle while playing with his
son, requiring surgery, ESPN reported.
Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman termed it a
“significant injury,” ESPN said.
Chamberlain underwent reconstructive elbow surgery last June

Re: Joba.... Dislocated ankle
"As we understand, they were at, they have these kids places where you jump on trampolines and stuff like that," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Friday.
I can picture it now

Re: Joba.... Dislocated ankle
This is so sad. I like Joba. As a Yankee fan you wanted him to come back stronger than ever. Now this? None of the talking heads have said anything yet, and call me a pessimist if you like,
but I think this is career threatening.
Whether it is the leg he drives off the mound with or the landing leg, I suppose would matter a bit. But there is likely pins, screws, brackets necessary along with torn tendons, ligaments, cartilage and of course, broken bones.
6'3, 240 lb men should probably stay away from trampolines, unless it's your profession and you work for Cirq du Soleil.

When Cashman was asked if Jobas injury was career threatening, he said, "I'd'like to say no. My heart and my gut tell me no."

Who's idea was it to give Joba Nick Johnson's old locker?

Re: Joba.... Dislocated ankle
Sad news. Seems like everything has been going against him for a few years now, not that he is perfect but he has been quite unfortunate.
