Sterling's Ibanez HR call is in here.

Welcome to NYYFans, the place where Yankees fans come together to complain about the manner in which our team is winning games.

I felt like this when I heard Cano's hr call and we see how that one stuck.
He just gets more pathetic as time goes on.
One day, I hope the Yankees have a power hitting guy who's last name is Wenus or Brock. We'll see how creative he can be without thinking of, well, something resembling himself.NYYFans Fantasy Baseball

Before the season is over, Ibanez will be a fan favorite and we'll be saying "Damon, who?''
AndyYogi is a National Treasure. Let's put him in a National Hall of Fame. The man has no peers.

Re: Raul Ibanez batting .083 this spring. Damon is still available, folks.
During yesterday's broadcast Kay spoke about a conversation he overheard:
Someone was asking Jeter about the game the Red Sox and Highlanders played in 1912, and he said, "I don't know, that was a long time ago -- go ask Ibanez"
Jeter's only three years younger."Somebody once asked me if I ever went up to the plate trying to hit a home run. I said, 'Sure, every time.'" -- Mickey Mantle

I was thinking of this thread during the walk-off celebration...

I have to go back through this thread to see what my opinion was in March before I act smug.....

I hope that I did not post in here where I agreed with the thread title. If so, what a fool I was because Ibanez has done nothing but good things for the Yankee team almost all year long. You cannot say enough good things about Ibanez and what he has meant to this team.

Re: Raul Ibanez batting .083 this spring. Damon is still available, folks.
I was definitely down on the Ibanez signing at the time (old, declining, can't field etc.)
I was wrong.
I mean, he's still old, and he's still not somebody I really wanted to see in the field this season (not that we had a choice), but he's come up huge for us many times over the course of the season, and no bigger than last night and against the Red Sox which put us in driver's seat to take the division.
One of those times I'm glad to be wrong.
