Negative posters are generally good entertainment. I've never thought that negativity in and of itself should be grounds for getting kicked off the forum or even out of a game thread. It's only when the negativity leads to argument and personal attacks on other posters that the line is crossed.

I don't care about negativity, or thoughtful disagreement. But I get annoyed by the folks who come on here when things are going badly, say "I told you so," and then disappear for 3-4 weeks when things are going well, only to return when a player or the team is performing poorly. It's like they want to be miserable.

Right ... usually "I told you so" is the first step toward making it personal and ugly. And you're right, a common dynamic among the negative posters is that some of them start to care more about being right than about seeing their team win. Instead of adjusting their viewpoint when things go well, they're often far too concerned about defending their original position to the death.
