Re: 2012 New York Jets Thread
I'm thinking also along the same lines - whether it's because he was over-hyped to begin with or he's a bad fit for the Jets' offensive playbook, I don't see Sanchez improving. Tebow gets a lot of flak about his QB abilities, but the guy has guts and teammates respect that. It will be interesting to how Tebow and Ryan get along. They're about as different as you can get in the personality/mindset areas.

I think you're right, actually, and the weird part is that I should be embracing that, because I've been very vocal in this thread for a while now about not being on board with Sanchez going forward.
It's just that I think Tebow is even less of an answer than Sanchez to me, so if/when Sanchez fails (which may now be hastened due to the insane scrutiny he'll face with Tebow being a media phenom), it means Tebow is going to be the QB! It's one thing to be a below average NFL starting QB, but it's quite another to be a gimmick starting QB.

It will be hilarious when Kate Upton starts showing up at Tebow's place

Is it true the Jets are gonna be on Hard Knocks again this year? I saw something on PTI at the gym but didn't have the sound on.

Sounds good.The Jets have maintained that Tebow, the No. 2 quarterback, will be used in the Wildcat formation, but a source told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio on Monday that New York will use Tebow as an H-Back, a fullback and as a running back.
Special teams coach Mike Westhoff has said he plans to use Tebow as the "personal protector" on the punt team.Fistpumping like a champion.

Re: 2012 New York Jets Thread
Schedule released today. Non division games:
@PIT
vs. SF
vs. HOU
vs. IND
@SEA
@STL
vs. ARI
@JAX
@TEN
vs. SD
I like that home/away breakdown, getting San Fran and San Diego and Houston at home and teams like Seattle and St. Louis on the road. Would have liked the Pittsburgh game to be at home, too, but you can't have everything.
Looks like four primetime games tentatively, with the game against Houston and the game at Tennessee being scheduled for MNF and the game at home vs. NE and the game at home vs. SD being scheduled for SNF, though the SD game is in Week 16 so that could be flexed out, if I understand the flex stuff correctly.

Heard on the radio this morning: Sanchez wants out. He wants no part of the QB circus with Tebow.

What radio were you listening to?
http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/...m_content=Jets
“He’s been as advertised, as good of a guy, if not better, than anybody said,” Sanchez said. “So, he’s been a great addition so far. I’m thrilled to work with him.”
“From a competitor standpoint, he’s great,” Sanchez said. “He’s what you want in an offseason program — working hard, competing with the guy in the weight room. This is a big, strong guy, so it’s good for me. That’s been one of my goals this offseason — putting on a little more muscle mass. I’ve taken a beating during the season. It’s been a good transition and Tim’s been great.”
