Just to admit he's been an abomination in the playoffs, without pointing out one or two decent moments. It makes him sound bad. I am not a hater btw, I like the guy.

Alright. I just am sometimes surprised by the tone people use around here about players; assuming that they should admit that they are the worst player ever and should have never started the game in the first place.

The Yankees really need for both Tex/Arod to show-up big for this series.

Thus earning his annual lottery winning... I truly dislike this guy. Thanks to lil' Mr. Jammies.

off to a great start. popping up a hanging slider that 70% of MLB hitters would have hit out of the park.

Props to Tex on his best playoff game in a while. Huge hit to tie the game up at 2.

so is 2-4 with a game-tying RBI single good enough for a start?

If you ignore the idiocy on the basepaths, yes. Good contact from both sides of the plate.

Nice game from Tex. Huge hit to tie the game and an outstanding scoop on Martin's great play that could have ended disastrously.

an obvious good game for Tex, though horrendus base running decision, but he hit two balls hard, had a walk and made a good defensive play on that scoop.

I don't really blame Tex for that, the ball rebounded hard, and he has to protect that calf. He got the job done by getting the runner home. Sure would of been nice with a runner on 2nd with less than 2 outs.

He tried to stretch to a double in order to protect his calf? and, no, the runner didn't go home. Swisher is not going to score from first base with one out on a laser hit off the right field wall. I don't understand how anybody thinks Swisher is going to advance three bases on a ball that Tex couldn't advance two bases on.

If it's a runner on second and third with nobody out in a close game and the hitter hits a fly ball to the outfield and it's borderline for the runner on thrid to score....THAT's a situation where the runner on second will give himself up and go to third, even if he's not likely to make it, because drawing a throw to third guarantees a runner scores.

Trying to stretch a single to a double with one out and a runner assuredly on third and getting thrown out by ten feet is not a good base running decision. Yes, it took a good throw, but that's not a valid reason. If you can't make it pretty much standing up, you don't go. A throw to second isn't 'out of the way' and if Swisher had tried to score on that, there could have been one of the most unconventional double plays you'll ever see.
