Re: 2012 Mark Teixeira Performance Thread
I'm late to this party, but it is a peeve of mine when a forumer posts their point of view on a public forum for public consumption, receives a response that strongly disagrees, and pulls the "so I'm not allowed to post about...?" card.

Re: 2012 Mark Teixeira Performance Thread
nice momentum for Tex going into the postseason. His last at bat the bases were loaded with 1 out, instead of grounding into a double play he actually got the ball into the OF for a sac fly. Momentum Builder.

He needs to come big. Orioles or Texas...oof. I'm kind of hoping it's Texas. Their pitching has been feast or famine.

Re: 2012 Mark Teixeira Performance Thread
On this, Snapple, you and I agree. Tex needs to put up serious production in this series. Showalter is not going to pitch to Cano...I can guarantee it and Tex will get a chance see those two lefties in the pen late.
It's time to step up and be a key factor in the postseason. Today will be his 32nd post season game in his career. No more small sample size and whatever else talk. I don't want hear any more excuses.
Hit the ball.

Re: 2012 Mark Teixeira Performance Thread
Tex is either going to hit this series respectably well or he's going to go down a very dark path with Yankee fans.
People are out of patience. I think even his biggest defenders expect a significant contribution this year, or the whole 'small sample size' thing goes right out the window.

Re: 2012 Mark Teixeira Performance Thread
Yeah, he did the same thing on boomer and carton the other day. Carton asked him about his postseason struggles and he said he doesn't worry about his stats in the postseason and that he has had some big hits.
Arod said some similar things too on francesa the other day, talking about how michael jordan would pass the ball to kerr if he was hot and how they have to 'get the ball to robbie'.
It's such utter nonsense that it's not even worth analyzing, but arod should know this isn't basketball and Tex should know that the way to win is to produce.
