There is something particularly ironic about alleging racism and backing it with overtly sexist comments.

I said the same thing...it's ridiculous and offensive...he won't get suspended but maybe they'll have a word with him...not that it will do any good.

I love sports but the fact that it makes millionaires out of slugs like Padilla is disappointing to say the least.

Well my friends the break is over with, it's time to play Baseball. I hope that most of us Yankee fans had a chance to catch the All Star Game, the reason that I mention this is because of the pitching, "wow" unbelievable really!!

If anybody out there doesn't see that the 2012 pitching is better then it's ever been, then I'm the one that's lost and blind, because it seemed that every pitcher that was called on had an amazing arm! With the real difference to me being the change up, and the breaking ball which is thrown for strikes much of the time.

I still believe that Mark is a very good hitter, an at times even great. Again, the pitching being unbelievable the mph's an all that goes with it, has been hurting some of the free swinging veteran players such as Mark, an A-rod and several others as well. I'm mostly referring to batting averages, that clearly are effected across the board.

So if his individual numbers are a little off then lets look at him in the team concept, in which he is functioning quite nicely, an is a powerful and feared hitter that's capable of big things, game winning type stuff... Go Mark, go Yankees!!

He has 5 RBI today which is the first time this season he had more than 2 RBI in a home game. It's the first time in his career he had 5 RBI in a game at Yankee Stadium (new or old).

On the post game show, Teixeira said he had horrible batting practice today, both early and late. I hope he has many more bad batting practices if nights like this one will be the outcome!

IDK he had that stretch last year in late may/early june where he hit like 10 HRs in about 2 weeks and carried the Yanks. I'm just hoping he's mostly put it together and this isn't just some random hot streak.

He's at 120 after last night is accounted for. 8th amongst ML 1B in wRC+. He trails an elite producer like Votto by a good margin (183 wRC+), but ahead of guys like Pujols (115 wRC+), Gonzalez (97 wRC+).
