I saw a pair of Jim Beam's for $30/each around 4:15 that got snapped up when I refreshed the page less than 5 minutes later.

You have to be careful with those. The really cheap ones are the wheelchair row and don't include club access.

It is an awesome experience - but damn it, how much can you really eat? and how much do you really pay attention to the game?


Dont get me wrong, but I did FELL asleep there a couple time AFTER finish eating for six! hahahaha

Probably wasn't a good time to be on a diet, but I did have the Alaskan crab legs, the NY strip, some of the side salads and a few dessert items. I got there right at 5 so I was done eating by 6:30 and I got to my seat for the entire game. though I did go back to make some hot chocolate and a shot of espresso after the 5th to warm myself up. I think this will be at least a once per season treat.

Legends are only GOOD for a couple reasons:

Other than that, it is NOT healthy to be in legends - beside the fact that you have to be "alert for foul ball" and "flying bat"!

Hey according to Yankee Stadium signs, you have to be alert for flying bats in the grandstand outfield seats also... so there's no difference

What is the latest you can buy tickets on Stubhub for a 1:05 and 7:05 game?

Went to the Monday night game. The game took 2:20 minutes, first time in years I was home by 10:30PM. The announced crowd was 36K but there were no more than 23k in the house. It was by far the smallest crowd I've seen at the new stadium. Yankee management thinks Stubhub is their problem but the reality is overpriced tickets, the cast system in the stadium, and poor customer service have alienated a significant portion of their core fan base. They will hard to get back and many are gone for good. The chickens have come to roost.

You left out the most important fact -- they're not winning with any regularity.

People will come out to the stadium to see a game-winning home run from the Bombers.
They are less likely to come out to see a succession of GIDPs.

I'm taking my tickets for tonight (part of my Sunday plan), putting them in a paper shredder, and mailing that to the ticket office since they are completely worthless.

This has been a weird season, it started off super strong for the secondary market and then went off a cliff and it's business as usual like last year. I had to eat a Grandstand pair on Monday because I couldn't find anyone to even take them for free.

So glad I dumped my 4 full seasons. On top of the terrible resale market which I fully expected, the Yankees just aren't that good any more. Tex & A-Rod are turning into total busts and the Yankees have maybe 2 reliable starters. More than ever they can't justify these prices. When I want to go to a game, I'm happy that I only need pay the true market value (except for my lousy 9 & 12-game plans that I keep purely for postseason and premium game presale rights)
