Looking at the questions again, how are we treating the two WCs? Does that count as a playoff spot? If the Yankees lose in the one-game playoff is the correct answer no playoffs or lose ALDS?

As I said in another thread, if you don't enter, you should get suspended when you start saying "I told you so," later in the year.

I was #75 when I entered last night.

I was just thinking I better go check and see if there was an Andy Pettitte question in the contest.

question: the front page says that if a player is on the DL that he counts as "on the roster. what if the player ends up on the AAA DL? presumably that doesn't count as "on the roster," yeah?

Indeed he did. Guess I'm glad I got my first draft in. Oh well. Who knows? It could end up being better than the version with the corrections I intended to make.

Ah man, I didn't know the cut off date for edits was the 16th, I thought that was just for registration.

My fault, I didn't read the rules carefully.

What is the ruling on the Joba ERA question if he doesn't pitch this year? I assume that get's thrown out (eitehr everyone gets it right or everyone gets it wrong). The IP one is easy since I'm getting that one wrong. Oh well.

It's a crazy world we live in nowadays isn't it?

Joba suffers a life and career threatening injury playing with his 5 year old son and our thoughts are

"Wait! What about the Prediction contest?!?!?!?!"
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

They say Joba lost a lot of blood when the bone went through the skin -- Daily News even reported he lost so much blood there was initial concern for his life.

And an injury like that can get infected, which can also be life threatening. This is a very serious injury, according to what's been reported.

That will be up to John ... I'll just say that from a technical standpoint, making everyone get it wrong is much easier than everyone getting it right. (And obviously there would be no difference in terms of the standings.)
