I think most guys would have went to third in the same situation-- the ball went almost to the dugout. I'm pretty sure Fielder wound up getting to it first.

That's not true. Everyone looks in in that situation in case the batter makes contact or walks.

Yeah, that makes zero sense. Players go from 1st to 3rd on hit-and-runs because they are watching the batter when he hits it

The entire point of a hit and run is to go 1st to 3rd or score on a double, which the runner obviously has to look to do. Its a completely normal play, you can say it

I can agree that it was normal good. It sure wasn't Damon's stealing two bases in the playoffs.

Without steroids he was better than anyone in the last 20 years. With it, he was better than anyone ever.

I said that he may have been the best player I ever saw, not just of the past 20 years and Iam 38. Bonds was a joke, besides Babe Ruth was the best ever.
