He kind of reminds me of Jon Gries (Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite / Laslo from Real Genius).

Sacrifices don't count towards your batting average (they are considered an 0-0), but they do count as an 0-1 when it comes to getting on base. So if you're 1-1 on the season with a sac fly, your BA is 1.000 but your OBP is .500.
