Gisele blaming the Pat's receivers.
The Brady's are really going to be loved in the lockerrom next year.

Early odds on Super Bowl XLVII:
http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_futures_odds.shtml
Packers 5-1
Saints 6-1
Patriots 8-1
Eagles 12-1
Cowboys 20-1
they never learn!
Giants 20-1
Jets 20-1
Redskins 100-1 - might be worth taking now before they get Manning.

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
I bet Vegas took a hit this year as not only were the Giants underdogs for this game, when most of the prognosticators picked them so I'm sure a lot of money was bet on them, they probably had a good amount of people bet on them when they were 50-1 in November. I guess they made some of that loss up on all the people who took the Bears at 25-1 two weeks before Cutler got hurt (grumble).
Those odds for next year a just silly, but worth taking a chance on some team with a good chance to improve it's odds between now and September, leaving you with the hot ticket when they go from 100-1 to 15-1.

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
And I bet a lot of people groaned when the game began with a safety.

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
I heard this morning they were going to be in the black overall for this Super Bowl because of the money they made on all those crazy side bets they offer. Something like the last 16 out of 17 Super Bowl they have ended up ahead (I have no idea which one they lost money)

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
That's true...for every one guy that took the Giants at 50/1, a few hundred people took the Packers at 5/1. Vegas last lost money on Super Bowl 42.

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
Slightly off topic but am I the only one who is hoping that show Smash is a complete failure just because of how over-promoted it has been these past few weeks? NBC is full of morons. Why promote a show about Broadway, singing and dancing every time you talk about football??

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
That may be true on just SB bets, but when the Giants lost 4 in a row to go to (7-7), Vegas had them at 100:1 to win the SB. Supposedly a lot of people took that proposition. I think that does not count as a SB but as an NFL-season bet. I would have loved to have dropped $100 on that proposition.

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
Those are the futures bets and yeah I think they took a hit on those, but think about all the other people who took GB, NO, NE, SF, Chicago (when they were 7-2 before they lost their QB), Houston, Baltimore, and Pitt. Plus all the people who took San Diego, Philly, etc in the beginning of the season. I'm pretty sure the casinos ended up ahead in the grand scheme of things.

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
I think lost in all of this is that twice now the NE Pats and Tom Brady have almost gone down as the greatest team/player in American sports history and twice they've been stopped by a team from New York led by a Manning.

Re: Super Bowl XLVI
Gilbride is fortunate to have an elite quarterback and an explosive young recieving corp.
I don't really think he shut up any of his haters...there were some questionable playcalls/not getting the play in time and having to burn potential crucial timeouts. It's a shock that this is still an ongoing issue for years and years.
Regardless, He's a 2nd time champ so props to him and thank goodness his occasional stupidity is overcome by some pretty special players.
