No need to apologize. I didn't feel as if you were attacking me at all.

the only good thing about his performance this season is that we can no longer pretend we have an ace on our staff going forward.

CC never had that vibe to me and this gutless performance just cemented it.

"CC" and "gutless" should never be used in the same sentence.

Its true, no matter how you interpret it.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

Wonder what's more troubling, CC losing his power fastball even though he's healthy, or losing it because of some physical problem?

This seems to have gotten lost in here but it wouldn't surprise me if he's pitching hurt and gutting it out.

Wait isn't he gutless? I'm confused.
40 pitchers, ever, have an ERA+ of 130 or higher for their career. 15 have 140 or higher. 3 guys have 150 or higher - one is right at 150, the second place guy is at 154, and Mariano Rivera is at 205.

He looks pretty bad out there. Its not just the velocity dip...but his slider is flat, he is barely using his change and his location is just terrible.

He seemed to go away from his fastball that inning after the double to Gimenez. Which is rather discouraging to say the least.

I still think he's injured, no matter how many times Cashman and Girardi deny it. Or maybe I really, really don't want to think that he's already in decline the first year of his new obscenely long and expensive contract.

CC has not been performing well lately. Right now I have more faith in Kuroda or Hughes starting a game.

I think he's hurt or he is suddenly declining. I hope he is hurt...because I really dont want to consider choice #2.

Watch Girardi get pissed off when someone again asks him if CC has some physical issues. If there's nothing physically wrong, we just lost our ace for no tangible reason.
