Yea, really. It's really frustrating watching him miss his locations, and that bare hand grab (or lack there of) was not smart easy 2ball for robbie.

That's just reflex-- I don't fault him for that.

of course with only a split second that's a natural reaction. I just wish he would have realized where his players were on the field.

Maybe he should start ST in January seeing as how it takes him a month to regain his velocity. He's pretty much been aiming the ball all night.

He really hasnt looked good to me since that near no-hitter last summer. He struggled down the stretch, struggled in the playoffs, and has looked pretty bad early on this year.

    Gutsy performance.

But yeah, he hasn't looked right in a while.

He's a notoriously slow starter so I'm not going to worry just yet.

He'll be fine, just like last year he won't get his first win until his fourth start and he'll still end up a 19-20 game winner.

CC warms up when the weather does. He seems to hit his stride when it's 95 degrees with matching humidity. As long as he's not injured, I'm not ready to worry about him yet.

Re: 2012 CC Sabathia performance thread

Not at his best at all. Given how he swept through the first four hitter with three Ks I was surmised when he struggled through the next five. Never thought he'd give us six innings. Well done big man but you need to be better.

The strikeout is there. Command is going to improve.

    Not worry.

He's also right handed. So, I can imagine his reflexes are way out of whack. Pitching with your left hand, then fielding with it. I can imagine that his brain gets all sorts of confused.

This has been the case since he got here. It's odd...you'd figure that someone his size would be much more comfortable pitching in cooler weather, then wilt in the summer heat.....but he's just the opposite.

I'm not worried either. He's going to end up being the ace he's always been but if this is the case, the Yankees should consider this about future signings that cost top dollar. April still counts whether a player is in his groove or not.

CC needs to stay warm when it gets colder again as well; sure he will.

Velocity is down again and everything is sinking. He's like a lefty version of Pineda.

Yeah, he is exactly like Pineda.

I'm not worried at all in reality.

It has been both doesn't have to be one or the other.

You can be missing spots and have subpar stuff at the same time.
