On pace for 200IPs and about 115ERA+.

Those are really good No. 2, borderline No. 1 type of numbers.

The dude knows how to pitch and he has good weapons to use against opposing batters.
Is this the end of the Brian Cashman era?

Mixed. Kuroda downplayed it but was on crutches. X-rays showed contusion but it sounds like Girardi's going to hold off making next-start decisions.

Since there is an off day next week they could just skip Kuroda's next start without changing the rest of the rotation.

Not really, their offday is Thursday as they have five games to be played between now and then which means Kuroda's turn comes up on Wednesday.

Yes, indeed. He's very aware of what he has and how to make the most of it. I like his style.

I hope the contusion is minor, cause I get the feeling that he was about to string a bunch of nice games together.

6.0 IP, 2ER with 8K against a good offense and no posts? Not one?

I think the big difference between now and the beginning of the season is his ability to pitch his way out of situations with men on base. He got into some jams tonight and had a somewhat elevated pitch count, but he was able to turn in 6 solid innings and only got burnt by the 2 run HR. He's quietly become a very dependable part of the rotation.

He really walked the tightrope a few times, but he didn't fall off. Maybe the rain effected his grip on the ball a little. He performed surgery out there last night and it was fun to watch. You just had the feeling he was going to make Atlanta beat him instead of beating himself.

Your opinion isn't being compared to my opinion, it's being measured against Kuroda's performances and right now he has a 124 ERA+.

You stated he sucked, when in fact his career numbers state the opposite. It's cool you think he's good now, but there's a good chance you'll be back on that "suck" bandwagon sooner than later.
