He wasn't sharp last night and went up against a heavy left-handed lineup which left him at a disadvantage since lefties hit much better against him.

Faced off against some touch starting pitchers, but that's his job as a No. 2.

Most that I could complain about would be the lack of consistency from start to start.

It's been that way since ST for Felix. Prior to tonight 4 of his 7 GS were against Oakland & the Twins.

Maybe Jack Z wants to trade him for Cano.

Great job by Kuroda. Only thing I found strange was this quote about the home run pitch to Montero, which was purposely thrown on the outer half where Montero likes it:

“It was really shocking,” Kuroda said. “I chose that pitch because I thought it was a great pitch for him not to hit a home run.”

That pitch was way down and away. It was pretty much perfect- a slider right on the bottom corner of the strikezone at 85mph. Not exactly prime homerun pitch.

He'd look even better if the defense behind him was more consistent. I'm guessing he didn't break down in tears when Nunez was sent down.

It was a pretty good pitch. It didn't break enough, and it looks like Montero was sitting on it, but it was low and away.

He started off rather slow last year and then went on to reel off 15 quality starts in his next 20 games. I think we'll see more consistency, though I don't expect him to be anything more than a middle-of-the-rotation guy, which is fine.

I think the onus should be on you to defend your assertion, but I assume you're basing your "suck" label on Kuroda's ERA.

Does Nova suck? Do Tim Lincecum, Matt Moore, Adam Wainwright, Yovani Gallardo, Mat Latos, and Max Scherzer all suck?
