Question that may have been asked somewhere else in this thread but I can't find it: Because Pineda was hurt the entire year do we save a year of his arbitration eligibility or is he just one more year closer to free agency despite us getting nothing out of him?

I assume he was on the 25 man roster when hurt, so I would say it's a year of service time.

He was on the major league DL so he gained a year of service time. So he is 1 year from arbitration & 4 from free agency.

How about a little actual Pineda news?

... He came to town within the last two weeks for a routine follow-up with Dr. Chris Ahmad, the Yankees’ physician, and Dr. David Altchek, the Mets’ physician who operated on Pineda. He threw at Yankee Stadium on flat ground, his program for about two months.

“He looked good,” Brian Cashman said. “He’s throwing on flat ground at 90 feet, so I don’t want to get …

“All I can report is his arm was working very well, very healthy, very loose. He had zip on it. He’s in great physical shape in terms of body weight.

Silky Johnston: "Honky" is a racial epithet used for white people. It was made popular by a man named George Jefferson in the 1970s. You see, he and his wife, Weezie, owned a dry-cleaning business, so they moved on up to the east side, to a deluxe apartment in the sky. They finally got a piece of the pie. Convoluted story I'll admit, but the point is this... that in the future, all black people will be FREE!

I barely check this thread as i dont know what to say about michael pineda's performance as the mariners are probably among the two or so AL teams i watch the least. But it's pretty funny how what appears to be the biggest yankee performance thread has never actually played for the yankees.
