Kris Medlen and Rafael Soriano have been two of my greatest buys I have ever made off the waiver wire.

I have Medlin and Soriano in one league. Medlin is out of his mind right now. Carrying my staff that is for sure. Soriano was quite helpful today! I have him in two total.

Picked up Mike Trout when he was first called up over Bryce Harper, and also picked up Medlen in the middle of August. My team, somehow the #6 seed, has vaulted all the way to the finals of the playoffs.

Re: Fantasy Baseball General Discussion 2012

I won my 12 team roto. Finished just 6 points ahead of the 2nd place team. The closest finish we've ever had in that league.

I won the consolation tournament in my 20 team keeper to land the top pick in next years draft. A two week stretch where I went 2-17-1 kept me out of the real playoffs by just 2 games. But my team really showed in the finals to secure the rights to Ryan Braun (who is unkeepable - though I'll probably trade that for picks and keep Cano). A few stand outs for my last week -

    Josh Donaldson C - 8 R, 7 RBI, 2 HR
    Brandon Moss - 11 R, 11 RBI, HR, .412 AVE
    Robbie Cano - 11 R, 15 RBI, 3 HR, .558 AVE
    Nick Swisher - 7 R, 8 RBI, 2 HR, .405 AVE

My team put up a 62 R, 60 RBI, 13 HR week even missing Cooc's 1st day back with 3 R and a HR. My pitiching put up 9 W, 85 K 2.5 ERA, 1.1 WHIP even with sitting Jackson & Kuroda yesterday.

    Congrats, Tripper.

Won my two money leagues and made my money back six times over - time for a vacation. I'm going to buy an R.A. Dickey shirt and his book just because he saved my season (and he seems like a good guy and knuckleballs are cool). Needless to say it was a good season and it gives me a pass with my wife, who sometimes rolls her eyes while I fiddle with lineups and spend way too much time going back and forth on trade offers.

Also won both of the Yahoo publics I was in. Cheap entertainment and good to use as mocks in March.

#67 amongst all Yahoo public roto teams...woo-hoo.

Bigger congrats to you. on the Dickey comment. and can totally relate to the wife comments

And I think we can answer the question "Are we good?" with a resounding no.

Yeah, I won my league, too. Three upsets along the way in the playoffs to pull it off.
