Seeing how I don't work for a tire manufacturer I don't have much interest in the dates of treads.

But this would probably not be a good year to waste money on the higher mileage tires if you need new ones.

True. Its other names are sexier: 'Special Interceptor V-8' or 'Maruader' (when installed in Mercuries). The GM Chevy 409 would kick its butt, though--380hp vs. a max 300 for the Ford 352. Second place doesn't get you a song. I miss my Pontiac V-8 (only a 350 but 4bbl.) and $0.33/gal gasoline.

I know a guy who has a 1969 Hurst Olds with a 455 cubic inch V8 in nearly perfect condition (he's the 2nd owner). That car has to be worth some serious wampum.
