Fake coral-- it's easier to see in that picture.
The fish on the right looks like a vlamingi tang. The left one is a longfin banner-- also known as the poor man's moorish idol.
I wonder what they are basing their choice of fish on. There are certainly flashier-looking fish than those.27 World Championships

Re: marlins aesthetics
I was watching the Marlins game vs the Mets a little today. The Marlins batting practice jersey (which is similar to the black top game jersey) isn't bad looking, but that number font they use on it is horrible.

Early verdict on Marlins stadium parking: It ‘really stinks’

Miami Marlins president Samson criticizes elected officials, pressWhat happens when you build a stadium with 37,000 seats but 5,700 parking spaces? Marlins fans this week got a taste of the inconvenience to come. Congratulations, Marlins fans, you have a beautiful ballpark. Good luck getting there — and finding a place to park your car.

Re: marlins aesthetics
Crybabies. The Dolphins played in a 75,000 seat stadium on the same site and the fans managed to get by just fine. There is plenty of neighborhood parking on residents' lawns and there are plenty of residents more than willing to take fans' money. The issue now is that it has been so many years since the Dolphins played in the OB that many fans don't know "the drill" (and perhaps some of the residents don't know it either).

Re: marlins aesthetics
Good heavens.
How can anyone with a brain free of hallucinogenic drugs look at a blueprint and concept of this thing and possibly think that it was a great idea to actually build?
Unfortunately it does look pretty much exactly like the concept drawings.
Not to mention the incredibly ugly bright color of the outfield wall. They almost don't need lights.Jimmy G. (Seniority 03/28/1994)

If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

That thing is to sculptures what the Marlin franchise is to baseball.
