I kind of like everything they've done (except for the song, it's horrendous). They're not the Yankees or the Cubs and they're not pretending to be. And even if I wanted to look down my nose at the re-branded Marlins...well, the Yankees employ 'Cotton Eyed Joey'.

The colors are terrible. the size doesn't match the stadium, and for something built in 2012, it seems like they could have done so much more.

And that logo looks like somebody's kid drew an M on an old Lite Brite and they just ran with it.

Big Fail if you ask me.
Oh, you're not the only one. It's been pretty much universally panned by anyone who doesn't work for the Florida Marlins. I'm convinced they wanted every design element of the stadium to be an over the top eye sore just for the attention and free publicity ... kind of like the University of Oregon with their football uniforms.

Looks like they are changing that. Used to be the last Metro-Rail train out of that stop was 9:40ish, which doesnt work well for sporting events. My brother once learned that valuable lesson many years ago leaving a Miami Heat game at the old Miami Arena with no way home.

I wonder if they'll fire off that thing when the Marlins get a hit, never mind a home run.

At this point, I'd say Marlins Park is basically the Stephen Segal of baseball stadiums. It has reached the point of being so awful that it's awesome.

Why do they have MIAMI on the uni instead of MARLINS for a home game?

I'm tellin' ya - the marketing department for that franchise is a not playing with a full deck.

As I'm watching the game last night, I kept telling myself over and over, that in another 5 weeks, there'll be about five thousand fans in that building....

Yeah and most of them will be the ones from last night's game, still trying to find their way out.

Everyone knows they're at a Marlins game but they may forget the city they're in by the fifth inning without the reminder on the players' uniforms.
