Does anyone want to volunteer for the job? I know we usually nominate but maybe we can start by seeing who is interested in the job. Then we can have the vote.

I may or may not be depending on how many duties I can hand off to my asscoms in my other league. I tried my best to fill in last year, I hope you all approved of what I did. If there is anything that needs improving we can rant here as well.

I assume I'm still part of an acting commish group along side the other asscoms so we should finish our duties until a new one is selected.

Thank you too! Yeah Ben would be my number one choice. But he's served a few times and not sure if he's up for it again.

I'm here to help, but I think 3 years of Commishing was enough for me. Happy to AssCom in some role, but I can't guarantee having enough free time to do the whole enchilada. Or whatever the British equivalent is.

Maybe what I'll do is sub out my duties in my other league for a year so I can make sure I do a good job here. Managing 20 owners is a f*ckload harder than managing 12.

I think a good portion of us would be willing to asscom as well. Ben signed himself up, I'd be more than happy to process roster moves or some other function as needed.

I appreciate that. I've been in this league long enough I should probably pay my dues anyway. Let me see what I can do with my other league and if I can be sure it will be handled with little or no impact on this one I'll put my name in the mix.

Hey all... well I've handed off most of my responsibility in my other league so I can free up time for this one. So I'll toss my name in the hat for election.

I assume since no one has motioned for anyone else and no one has offered to be commish should I consider this unopposed? I started the thread for returning owners just so we can get it going. if anyone has an issue or would like to run, please note it here or else I will just assume the role by default.

Just wanted to make sure this is all legit!

I will assume the role for now unless there is any objection within the next week or so but we need to get this league going.
I have appointed Eric and Ben as my asscoms. They have agreed to take on some of the work with me.

Eric will be in charge of all things minor league related including the draft. Remember he is quite detail oriented, perfect for the job so don't try and get anything past him. It's precisely why I chose him for it.

Ben will help be the voice of reason with all trade issues. His history of breaking them down is well respected in this league, by me especially, I don't think I've ever disagreed with him that I recall and I am willing to bet neither has anyone else. And at his leisure he will also continue to post the league updates and do all the things he usually does. If anyone is considering doing league write ups, contact Ben (Saxmania) before you do. it's been his thing for a long time so please don't step on his toes.

As an asscom last year Pete gave me some very good advice. I will refrain vote voting on almost anything until I have gotten the general idea from everyone in the league first. I learned a lot from him, he was a great Commissioner and he will be missed. This year will be in honor of Pete, I have updated the page above our logo to reference this.

If anyone else wants to extend any help it would be welcomed. I know we had like 5 asscoms last year but it was under extreme circumstances.

At some point within the next week I will be going through everyone's roster and updating the players with their contracts. We will start to declare keepers once payment is made by the league. I will also be working that out shortly. We also have to discuss a draft date, but that will be down the road. We still have 2 months.
