Some type of html coding keeps popping up when I post

Now I need to use it in order to make a new paragraph, since the regular "Enter" key doesn't do it any more.

I didn't need this earlier in the week, so why do I need to do this now? I'm using the "NYYF Default", from the lower left hand of the main page.

Log out, clear cookies and log back in. See if that makes a difference.

It was at work last night. I'll have to clear the cookies the next time I rattle off by posting there.

This seems to happen I'm using IE8. With IE9 at home or on the laptop, I don't seem to have that issue.The text that's invisible when posted is:"
"When I type two hard returns using the "Enter" key, it's treated as if I never hit the Enter key to begin with (two paragraphs separated by nothing, instead of an empty line between them).

This is about a different type of HTML code. It's from when I'm quoting an article, and the quoted text comes in as HTML codes, rather than plain unformatted text. You know, the hyperlinks within the article.

How do I get everything quoted being plain text? I remember there being a setting here for this, but I forgot the solution.

I think that IE8 was more stable than my present IE9. However, IE8 doesn't work w/Win7. Oy.

Under "General Settings", then "Miscellaneous Options" near the bottom, I found this:

Message Editor Interface:

Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
Basic Editor - A simple text box
Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls

I chose the last one, since when I copy text in from an article, it doesn't have the full HTML stuff. When I had the full WYSIWYG Editing enabled, the size, bold, italics and other junk from the link were all coming aboard.
