Re: Bobby V's Impact on the Yankees/Red Sox Rivalry

Bobby V offers this on Pettitte: "I don't think he's coming back to where he was. Call it a hunch."

out of context, you should have posted the full comments.

“I thought they had too much pitching before. Now what do they have, too, too, too much pitching? He’s pretty good," Valentine said. "Is he going to be a starter or just come in to pick people off?"

    Here we go again:

“It was regretful that Mortensen warmed up though and then we were told that they weren’t going to play extra innings. I didn’t think that that was very courteous,” Valentine said.

“The umpire came over and said we couldn’t play. I don’t care about not playing. Why do I have to warm up my pitcher who’s trying to make a team? Come in in a tie game against the Yankees and maybe help him make a team and instead he has to walk off the mound and take a shower. That’s just not very courteous.”

It looks like Bobby is determined toirate the Yanks and especially Joe Girardi. I have a feeling that there will be many more verbal insults from Valentine before this season is over.

I think his goal is more to stir up the Boston fanbase.

Judging by the ridiculousness that happened yesterday, I'd say Yankees/Red Sox games are going to be virtually unwatchable and incredibly annoying because of Valentine.

That's right, because the Yankees first concern should be who makes Boston's roster.

I really want to put Bobby V. on ignore moreso now than when he was in the booth.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

I rather watch Bobby V's face when Luis Sojo hit a bleeding single off Al Leiter millions of times than to put Bobby V. on ignore.
It's not the 27 World Championships that drive the New York Yankees. It's the 28th.
Every year is The Year. Go Yankees.
