Re: Seattle Mariners' Halman Stabbed to Death
It seems like every time players go back to their countries something happens. Sad story.

The real reason why the Yankees keep winning is cause the other team can't stop staring at the damn pinstripes

Re: Seattle Mariners' Halman Stabbed to Death
It was horrible enough to hear he'd been killed, but then to know that his own brother is a suspect was unreal.

Wow, I remember posting about wanting the Yankees to trade on this forum about 3 years ago. He was a really legit 5-tool prospect.

Re: Seattle Mariners' Halman Stabbed to Death
Unreal...
http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/72...ded-loud-musicPolice say an argument about loud music could be the reason Seattle Mariners outfielder Greg Halman was stabbed to death.
Police spokeswoman Patricia Wessels tells The Associated Press that loud music "appears to be the reason the victim walked downstairs," but police are still trying to piece together what happened after that.

When someone tels me that my music is too loud, I turn down the volume to a reasonable level.

Re: Seattle Mariners' Halman Stabbed to Death
Either that or I wonder if there was some jealousy/sibling rivalry brewing. The article says that his brother (as well as his father) played for the Dutch National team --not sure it's the same brother but maybe there was a little jealousy there and then he just snapped that day..who knows - i obviously don't know these people but it ran across my mind when i read the article..

AMSTERDAM -- A Dutch court acquitted the brother of Seattle Mariners outfielder Greg Halman on Thursday of stabbing the baseball star to death last year, saying he was temporarily insane at the time.
Rotterdam District said Jason Halman "was in a state of psychosis at the time of the stabbing" and could therefore not be held accountable for his actions.Mo' Nut: One Smoove Brotha.
