Re: Best Customer Service Story, EVER
They got about $50,000 of free publicity for that $200(?) of steak with delivery by a guy in a tux. Smart initiative
I'm not as "floored" about it as this guy, getting a steak delivered on a lark isn't exactly earth shattering

I don't think this is the best customer service stories ever, but it definitely is one of the best stories about unique/productive uses of Twitter.

Re: Best Customer Service Story, EVER
This dude is a major marketing consultant, nice PR buffer. Article did get me hungry, though. They have a spectacular Customer Relations Management system in place, as well as a spectacular social media team, and they know when I call from my mobile number who I am, and that I eat at their restaurants regularly. Never underestimate the value of a good CRM system.

Re: Best Customer Service Story, EVER
Guy comes off as a little pompus, I don't really care about how some exec got Mortons to deliver a porterhouse to him at the airport.

I "met" this guy (Shankman) on a NYC Marathon forum in 2006 when we were both getting ready to run the marathon for the first time. He's also appeared on the O'Reilly Factor a few times as a PR consultant.
