Seriously though, I hope this isn't true. The league is so much better when the Colts and good.

I guess the Colts are looking to tank the season by having Kerry Collins start over Painter. I know Manning is irreplaceable, but you'd think that Painter who at least knows the offense on paper is a better choice than a guy who's been retired. Either Polian has no faith in his team's developmental system or he's tanking the season.

Tank the season and get Andrew Luck. He gets mentored by Manning for 2 years and then the Colts have another 10+ years of being awesome.

That was a great game between the Packers and Saints. Both Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees passed for 300+ yards and 3 TD.

But the key factors were turnovers: Marques Colston fumbled setting up a Green Bay TD and Randall Cobb's 108 yard Kickoff Return TD (Sorry, Cris Collinsworth, but Cobb's knee wasn't down).

Cam Newton had over 300 yards passing today. It's almost like someone had paid him to play football before.

Wow, I'm extremely happy for Romo. What a gutsy decision and subsequent performance. I wouldn't be shocked if he was out next week and maybe even beyond that.

Agreed. I'm no Cowboys fan, but what a performance. I also enjoyed seeing Donte Whitner getting burnt on that play.

Also great to see Jesse Holley make his first NFL catch. From reality TV star of Michael Irvin's 4th and 1 to being the reason the Cowboys won.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened sooner, too.

Besides all that, I don't need him to produce this year, I just need to see if he'll be a league average or so starting QB next year so that I'll know if he's worth protecting. This definitely helps the chances that I get that look.

It would be interesting if the Colts decide to give up this season and somehow end up with the No.1 pick, which means Andrew Luck.

In fact, Peyton is such a team player that he's faking a neck injury!

I disagree. I think the Bills will make this a game. I don't think they'll win, but I think it will be closer than people think.

The Pats defense isn't that good so this should be a shootout. The Pats will win, but I doubt they cover.

I have a feeling the Bills could win. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut in the forest once and a while and they haven't beaten the Pats in so long.

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/70...gehrig-disease

NEW ORLEANS -- Steve Gleason may always be remembered most for his blocked punt on the night the Louisiana Superdome reopened for the first time after Hurricane Katrina -- a play that stirred an already emotional crowd into a deafening, drink-spilling frenzy.

The retired New Orleans Saints folk hero only hopes he can continue to lift people's spirits by the way he handles what until now has been a private struggle with ALS, a debilitating and ultimately fatal disease for which there currently is no cure.

On Sunday, five years to the day after his memorable play became a symbol of a devastated community's will to carry on, Gleason, 34, went public with his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
