Re: Visiting Other Ballparks
I saw last Sunday's game at Target Field, and I couldn't tell what all the hype was about. I mean, it's definitely a nice stadium, and more attractive than the inside of Yankee Stadium, the actual ballpark part. But there wasn't that much about it that stood out to me, not nearly as special as Camden Yards or whatever they're calling Jacobs Field these days.

Re: Visiting Other Ballparks
Didn't see this till today, so obviously too late for you, but generally....we stayed at the Courtyard Hotel out by the airport. Right by the Orient Heights T stop, which has a substantial Park & Ride lot, $5 to park. The hotel itself has free parking, which downtown Boston hotels won't have. Ride to Kenmore stop was about 30 minutes, walk to Fenway about 5-10 minutes more. Worked fine for us.
As to Fenway itself, all the moderization has made it much improved from the dump I had sat in some years ago. So now it's the center of a non-stop carnival. And the self promotion as "America's Most Beloved Ballpark"? Please.Mays played baseball. Mantle was baseball.

Re: Visiting Other Ballparks
2012 schedule out. DC looks like a nice weekend next year. Possibly could see Strasburg get lit up by the Yanks too.

Any suggestions as to best seat locations for Camden Yards? Also any other tips? What's the experience like?

Re: Visiting Other Ballparks
As to the experience, it's usually a majority Yankees crowd, especially on weekends and the summer.Depending on what you want to spend, good tickets are available on line when Baltimore starts selling single game fix. I like the club level (200's) especially early in the season for night games because you can go inside and warm up.
If it's your first trip to Baltimore, don't miss the Babe Ruth Museum and the Inner Harbor, both walking distance from the park.

Re: Visiting Other Ballparks
They call it Yankee Stadium south for a reason, tons and tons of Yankee fans. Oriole fans for the most part are friendly or don't say anything, likely for the fact they realize they are out numbered in their own building. For seat location, compared to Yankee Stadium the prices seem super affordable so I try to splurge a bit and get field level or club, both are really nice. Also Eutaw Street reserve are pretty nice if your looking to keep it affordable. The park is really beautiful, and has a great atmosphere, so expect a good time.
While at the park deff go and try the cinnimon pretzel and Boogs BBQ.http://twitter.com/NYMoot

Thanks! Anyone know the Orioles pre-sale password? Tickets are on sale now but open to the general public on Saturday. I tried to Google it but I have had no luck.

Re: Visiting Other Ballparks
I'm planning on making a trip down to DC to see one of the games vs Nats this year with a few friends. Probably gonna do a Thursday-Sunday trip out of it, and do some sightseeing in DC a few days and catch the Sunday afternoon game. Should be fun. I know the crowds for Yanks-O's are primarily Yanks fans....should be interesting to see what kind of Yanks fan turnout there is in DC.

I've never been to D.C., so I think this June I'm going to take a weekend trip there and watch the Yankees and do some sight seeing.

Re: Visiting Other Ballparks
They go on sale Thursday March 8th I believe. I registered to get notices from them, will also be picking up Yanks/Nationals ticks. I've been to DC a number of times though I've never been to a Nationals game.
