Tex in the top 10 WAR 1B

I don't know about you guys, but I thought that, rather than finally having a great first half, Tex was more likely to have a bad second half of the season and just have a bad year overall. Was I wrong or what? I know he only has a .243 average still, but that'll go up a bit, but you can't ask for too much more, especially if he still has his second half surge. He is 7th on this list for top 1B. I think the Yankees needed him to play well in the first half this season, which all the hubbub about Jeter and Pettitte retiring.

Won't be surprised if Tex posts a .280 35HRs and 100 RBIS this season.
40 pitchers, ever, have an ERA+ of 130 or higher for their career. 15 have 140 or higher. 3 guys have 150 or higher - one is right at 150, the second place guy is at 154, and Mariano Rivera is at 205.

What made you think he'd have a bad year?
