2011-12 College Basketball Season
Figure i'd start this now that we know that my soon to be Alma Mater's basketball coach is retiring. Gary Williams will be leaving Maryland, and i'm sure we will now will become a perennial mediocre team for years to come. Both shocking and heartbreaking:

Re: 2011-12 College Basketball Season
After hearing about the Daniels commit to UConn, I'm excited for yet another season of college basketball next year. It's going to be tough for teams to score against our defense with all the length and athleticism we have. Just hoping the team picks up the slack of losing Kemba.

My Heels are loaded next year. Everyone back from last year....as well as McAdoo and Hairston joining the team. Watch out everyone.

Re: 2011-12 College Basketball Season
Should be another great season of college ball, UNC, Duke, and Kentucky should all be stacked. Unfortunately it may be the only ball we have for a while.

Andre Drummond is now a Husky, something everyone in CT has been hoping for. I didn't think he'd even play in the NCAA at all.

Any Cuse fans in the house? How deep is this team? They can run 12 guys and not miss a beat. The one thing that might hold them back is a lack of leadership. Scoop really needs take the reigns of this team and Kris Joseph needs to stop disappearing at times, he needs to become the go-to scorer and become more assertive.

What a finish to that Indiana-Kentucky game. The Hoosiers are going to be formidable this season.

Re: 2011-12 College Basketball Season
Should be a good test @ NC State Saturday for the NUMBER ONE ranked Orangemen. At this point my concerns are half court offense and consistent 3 point shooting. I like that Dion Waiters has stepped up so when bad Scoop shows up JB can plant Scoop on the bench. Really impressed with the freshman PG Michael Carter-Williams. They are playing 10 deep now but that will shorten to 8 by Big East time.

Re: 2011-12 College Basketball Season
This is the deepest Syracuse team I've ever seen. No superstars but they have 9 really good players that play great defense and play unselfishly on the offensive end. I think come tourney time the results will be different than years past for Cuse. With their depth they won't be so beat up or go cold offensively because of their depth. Too many weapons. The big question is who will finally beat them?
