Re: The Red Sox Thread
That's the best thing about their meltdown. They're a talented , ( overpaid in many cases ) group that is grossly underperforming
It's the exact opposite of the " little train that could " nonsense spouted by Lucky and the long standing dirt dog myth. They're a dysfunctional organization- starting from the top down
Joshie will be gone before next year, but that's not gonna solve their problemsGreetings from Pensacola- highest per capita tattooed grandmothers in the US

Re: The Red Sox Thread
If you want to amuse yourself, go to sosh.net and look through the Sunday night game gamethread.
All they do is whine about the short porch. I find it so amusing that a team that plays in a park with the green monster complains about the short porch in YS.
David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia making careers of dinking the monster for doubles that would be outs anywhere else, and hitting 320 foot fly ball homers that may not even be deep enough to be sac flies elsewhere is perfectly fine.
But the Yankees hitting balls over a short porch in our stadium is inherently unfair.I used to think I was crazy... Now I am sure of it..

Re: The Red Sox Thread
"Carl Crawford has a chronic left elbow ulnar collateral ligament tear. While he has been following a conservative treatment protocol and playing with this injury, his symptoms are getting worse.
After consultation with the Boston Red Sox medical staff and with Dr. James Andrews, the decision has been made to proceed with a left elbow ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction (Tommy John surgery). The surgery will be performed by Dr. Andrews on Thursday, August 23. We expect Carl to make a full recovery."
We just moved down the road from Andrews office...Greetings from Pensacola- highest per capita tattooed grandmothers in the US

The Boston Red Sox announced Monday that pitching coach Bob McClure has been relieved of his duties, and Red Sox assistant pitching coach Randy Niemann will serve as interim pitching coach for the remainder of the season. That ought to settle things down in the clubhouse.Neimann, 56, is in his first season with the Red Sox and was manager Bobby Valentine's lone coaching hire during the offseason.27 World Championships
