Oh, and Padilla is a total ................ move. Cash got lucky and struck oil blindly poking holes in the backyard last year (vis a vis Garcia & Colon), but 99 times out of 100 the only thing you're going to hit is a god damn septic tank.

Overall I like what they've done with the bullpen, but this rotation looks like ................ing garbage right now. This is exactly how you set a team up for the same kind of smegma that went down last September and I'm not ................ing happy about it.

I would really enjoy a year of Red Sox irrelevancy. I think we Yankee fans have earned it.

But I'm sure they'll find some way to be in the mix for the division all season.

As would I. I'm planning/hoping that this will be my last baseball season in Boston. Would be great if they could send me out on a high note.

Just out of curiosity, what does one do to "earn" a year of red sox irrelevancy?

    You just had one.

Although, I will admit that it didn't get soil yourself laughing funny until September.

Put up with jump on the 2004 bandwagon obnoxious Red Sox fans who don't know crap about baseball yet find multiple venues other than Fenway to chant "Yankees Suck".

In my case, it would be live in Massachusetts and listen to an entire year of over-the-top hype about a team that wasn't good enough to make the playoffs.

I'd like to have a year where the Red Sox go into the season just knowing they're done before the first pitch is thrown, like Baltimore does every year.

At first that's what I thought, but if they are getting back Jhoulys Chacin (which I don't understand why the rockies would do that) I assume he would start. not sure who would play short, unless they are still trying for Hanley

That trade makes zero sense from the Rockies perspective.

I thought so because it doesn't make any sense from the Rockies perspective especially after their previous moves this offseason in trying to acquire cheap pitching talent.

Brief flurry of excitement concerning #RedSox #Rockies deal involving Scutaro "exaggerated'' according to #RedSox source. That was fun.
