Re: The 2011-2012 New York Knicks Thread
Please trade Amar'e for Gasol.
Much better fit for this team.
Lin wouldn't have to worry about getting so many the ball. The offense would be Melo and Lin.

When Novak plays well, the Knicks usually win.

Re: The 2011-2012 New York Knicks Thread
Chandler is truly unbelievable. Plays defense on behalf of both our C & PF positions and is all over the place with deflections, blocks, and O rebound tip-outs. All this while giving little indication of how banged up he really is. He also could probably average 12+ boards but he loses a few a game because he's so active stepping out and getting a hand in shooters' faces.

Re: The 2011-2012 New York Knicks Thread
If everyone wants to dump Amare so bad...if he's that bad...then why would another team want him? He's here, he's staying here, end of story.

Second unit has been awesome. Watching Shump and Jeff go to work on D is boner inducing. Baron looks strong too. JR Smith also putting in work and takes a charge - I'm embarrassed for being against the signing.

This second unit is sick.
"We understand that John Henry must be embarrassed, frustrated and disappointed by his failure in this transaction. Unlike the Yankees, he chose not to go the extra distance for his fans in Boston."

The bench is really deep and you can see the support they have for each other.

Re: The 2011-2012 New York Knicks Thread
With Smith here, Novak playing well, Davis getting back into game shape...this team is suddenly very deep.

Re: The 2011-2012 New York Knicks Thread
It's such a foreign feeling to have a team with the type of depth that can flat out destroy a lesser team with the entire starting unit off the floor. Wow, this is awesome, and it's even better because it's the type of thing that SHOULD happen with this depth - for once it seems to be playing out properly.
Lets also not lose sight of the fact that Lin/Chandler/Melo actually were the ones that erased the lead.Jaret Wright's 2005 Cy Young Season: 20-3, 3.04 ERA

Re: The 2011-2012 New York Knicks Thread
With this depth...in theory we should be able to wear teams down, especially later in the year as the condensed schedule takes its toll on the teams that might not go as deep into the bench.

Is there any logical explanation for the FT suckage? They better correct this soon. It's gone on too long.
