I watched him less than a handful of games at BC. So I'm not sure if some of this is his game or was he just timid in his NHL debut.

He obviously tried not to make a mistake.

Put yourself in Kreider's shoes. One moment you're playing college hockey, the next moment you're on the Rangers' top line in the Stanley Cup playoffs. He hasn't played a shift with Gabby and Richards, and now they're supposed to mesh as a unit on the fly? What Torts did there I don't think was fair to the kid, or to his linemates. I understood his reasoning, but Richards himself said it would take a little time to adjust.

I agree that he's in a tough spot and it may take some time to adjust, but I don't see how it is unfair.

They seem to play back on their heels when they have a lead.

Nothing more annoying than giving up a goal that is either scored or assisted by the guy coming out of the penalty box.

Rangers need to wake up...ever since they went up 2-0...this game has been all Ottawa. Shots were once 12-6 Rangers, since then its 12-1 Ottawa. So we've had basically 1 shot on goal since the midway part of the 1st period.

That was the best shift we've had in almost 20 minutes...finally some sustained offensive zone pressure. More of that please.

On top of everything else, I wonder if Lundqvist is OK. He flexed his left knee after a save in the middle of the period and looked a little sluggish afterwards. Could also be the relentless onslaught is getting to him.

What's even more disturbing, is Ottawa is not a good defensive team.

It all starts with the defensive zone....they get pinned in their zone for so long by the time we get the puck, we need a line change so guys are just clearing it out. Ottawa gets it back in the zone and the cycle continues.

We're losing battles in our own zone. Ottawa's winning everything on the boards and behind the net. We need to start winning puck battles in our zone...if we do that, maybe we can actually get an offensive game going again. If not, just a matter of time before this one ends in a loss.
