Anyone else feel since the refs are calling everything, the Rangers haven't been as physical?

Re: Lets Go Rangers! 2011-2012 season thread

Tortorella didn't sound too concerned in his post game press conference. IIRC he said the team was playing the way it's supposed to play, and if that's the case there are not going to be many adjustments for game 5. Maybe what he's telling his guys behind closed doors is a different matter.
Someone mentioned the fact that the Rangers have lost 7 consecutive OT games in the playoffs. Now THAT'S something to be cause for concern, because the way this series is going OT may be the rule rather than the exception.

I don't have much to add other than it's amazingly frustrating to know that the Rangers have never trailed during any game this series...yet they're tied 2-2.

When the epitaph gets written on the 2011-12 Rangers...it will say something like "the PP killed them".

14 SOG's in the 1st...3 PP chances yet no goals. Rangers dominated the period too. Yet Ottawa scores one on a softie. Sigh.

Best period they've played in a while yet they're down 1-0.

    Go figure.

Hank has to stop that shot but Mitchell is a ................ing idiot for releasing from Spezza.

I want to see a little more of Kreider.

He's always around the net and already has had a few scoring chances in 3 games. You're looking for goals...

Ottawa is giving their 20 kid ice time, why not Kreider?

No matter what happens in the playoffs with this team, it's clear as day that they need to add offensive talent.

Not trading for a faceoff guy is hurting us too. Ottawa is just straight up murdering us on faceoffs esp Konopka. Trading a 1st for Gaustad wasnt the answer...but we had to do something.

I dont think Dubinsky could score in a whorehouse

At least they're getting some oppy's off of rebounds. Need to convert, obviously. Dubinsky showing no scoring touch whatsoever.

No goals since the 14 minute mark of Period 1 in Game 4. Sigh. This game feels like a 2-0 Ottawa win after they seal it with an empty netter.

All we need is the usual 1 or 2 Rangers shots off the post/crossbar in the 3rd. And MSG please stop kissing Anderson's ass, he isnt playing THAT well. He's made maybe 2-3 good saves tonight....Hank has had to work MUCH harder tonight. Ottawa's had alot of good scoring chances. Most of the shots we are getting arent of high quality.

The Senators have done a better job than the Rangers of holding a lead.

    Not sitting back at all.

As I've said, Tortorella has been out coached.

I mean they got a kid that just got called up on their PP. Where is Kreider?

Kreider needs more time in the 3rd....we need offense. Play the skill guys. Rupp is playing great and I'd move him up along side Richards. He's winning every battle on the boards and has made things happen on his line, which is something almost nobody else is doing tonight.

I've given up on Stepan, Dubinsky and Anisimov in this game. Anisimov is playing as soft as Charmin and Dubinsky couldnt score if his life depended on it.

And where the F is Gaborik??

Anisimov and Gaborik are not playoff type of players.

I've just never been a fan of Anisimov. Seems kind of soft.

Gaborik is Mark Texiera lite, in the playoffs.

The ice gets smaller in the playoffs and he can't adapt. I know he scored in game 1 but more is needed.
What's troubling is, Ottawa doesn't even have a dominant shut down defenseman. Yet he's been invisible.

Kreider made a beautiful pass to Prust for the scoring chance there....friggin Stepan had a point blank chance and whiffed on the shot. F*ck me.

The Rangers have had more scoring chances on Ottawa's PP than Ottawa has. I think we've dominated them. We just can't score a goal. I disagree that Anderson hasn't been that good. He's been very good since the 1st period in Game 4.

We are going to need to find soneone to score a goal here.

I don't see where Tortorella has been out-coached either. The Rangers have had issues scoring all year long. Their PP has stunk all year long. Both have issues this series.

They've been dominating face offs in critical times. Need a PP goal here.
