Lets Go Rangers! 2011-2012 season thread

Big goal by Richards last night but this team has hit a bit of a lull. Need to break out of it as we have some important division games coming up this week.

Eminger's injury is unfortunate. Our D-men are dropping like flies (I don't think we see Staal, Eminger or Sauer until late January/early February at the earliest) and we're at the point where I don't know if we can get by with smoke and mirrors, unless we pull a NJ/Dallas and start trapping the hell out of the opposition.

The Devils are playing better but they can be had and then we have the Isles and Flyers (who are equally as ravaged by injuries) back to back on Thurs/Fri.

I want all 6 points. These are all teams we should beat.

Was at the game last night in Phoenix. Never seen a (literally) last second goal before. I think most people were heading to the restrooms anticipating OT, or just assumed the goal was after the horn... I was one of the only dudes in my section going nuts.

Pretty good showing by Ranger fans all the way out here.

The lack of offense the last 7-8 games or so is disturbing. Another game tonight where we are just generating nothing....2/3 of the way thru the 2nd period, and we have less then 10 shots and probably 2-3 legit scoring chances.

Brodeur looks so beatable tonight. A little more accuracy on these shots and it's at least a 3-1 game despite being outshot by so much.

Devils are an obnoxious franchise. All the way from the GM to their fans to their PA announcer. Beating those ................s is always awesome. I hope they finish in the 8th spot and get the same type of treatment we gave the Isles in 94 from the bruins in round 1.

Is there really anything that can be done? I mean I have no idea what is available on the trade market for defensemen....and anyone worthwhile will probably require giving up more in a trade then we would like to.

Yeah, the D issue is just something we'll have to get through. Its early enough in the season where, even if we go through a bad patch, there are enough games to recover later on.

With our Goaltending, it will cover up alot of things also.

That's with the likes of Woywitca, Strallman, Bickel and Eminger.

I love how if you didn't know better the Rangers were the home team last night. That's how loud the cheering was for them at the end of the game. Nothing better than taking over the Rock and beating Marty.

Good way to start off the week of all-divisional games. Thursday vs LOLanders, Friday vs Philly, Monday @ Nassau.

He's right. Them and the Penguins. You may as well dress the refs in the Pitt/Mon uniforms when you play those teams.
I keep telling myself it would be awesome to watch a Pitt versus Montreal playoff series, the refs would cry not knowing who to play for..
