We are definitely aware of the constant negativity of some in the baseball forums, and more suspensions and bannings are a virtual certainty.

To ALL the mods ... Congrats on a job well done!

Last May (2010) I became so tired of the constant baiting and overall negativity from some of the entrenched forumers (whose demeanors seemed to be spreading to some newbies) that I found it starting to rub off on myself a bit as I became less and less tolerant of it, and finally got to the point where I decided not to return.

Starting about a month or so ago I visited the ITL and PPT threads for the first time since I left and found good civil discussions without nearly as many negative, baiting or ridiculing replies, so I began lurking a bit. The more I came back the more it became VERY apparent that the overall tone of the forum had in fact changed, and in my view became a much friendlier place to perhaps once again enter a baseball discussion or share an opinion.


The change was so noticeable for the better that today I became curious if the community standards had in fact changed which led me to this thread. So once again, a job well done in doing what was needed to reduce the negativity and restore some civility to baseball discussions.
