Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
There clearly are some bugs to work out but I'm sure it will be fine. The old look was so familiar that any change is going to be a bit shocking.
I just hope the level of discourse remains high. There is no "I" in "team" but there is a dismembered and mixed-up "me."

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
I think I'm going to miss the "Reload" button come GameThread time. (I know, F5 or Refresh, but they both require more work for a repetitive action.)

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
Am I the only one having problems when trying to edit posts? When I click save, it doesn't respond, and I wind up having to leave the page with the post unedited. Somewhat problematic for me, because I think faster than I type, so I'm going to look like an idiot with words left out of my posts all the time.

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
It's kind of hard to read. Too much contrast in some places, not enough in another. And a bit too busy in still others. It works fine but the layout seems amateurish.

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
I'm sure my snowglobe is going to be gone, which is going to make me sad. It's OK, and I'll get used to it, and multi-quote is back, which is nice!

Ooooh, the snowglobe survived!
But I really thought I had more than 16,424 posts!

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
i guess i prefer the older look and feel, with more yankee blue in it, as well. i also think displaying the # of posts made is kind of silly. that kind of info is available if you want it, but why default-display it, who really cares ??
also agree re no scrolls on sigs, those are the worst. plus some reasonable size limitations make sense there.

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
Is anyone else experiencing issues with low scroll rate? As in, on the side of the page, when I scroll down, it actually feels like it "lags." No other website does this to me.

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
For those of you having difficulty editing, loading pages, overall slowness etc., go to your profile and to the general preferences, then change the number of posts per page to something smaller than the default. 25 is a good starting point. You should see a difference.

Re: Who likes the new look to NYYFans
I agree with those comments, as well. A few of my own:
* I don't like the way the actual outline of various editing features, i.e., bold, italics, etc., show up, rather than just the features.
* The old smile icons were much better. They absolutely should be returned.
* It is confusing when you "Reply With Quote" and the your reply (with the quote) shows up under the post you are quoting rather than after the last post. You already see what you are in quoting in the post you are writing.
** Most importantly, I would like to see the "Post Preview" feature restored.
* The new format is very streamlined and clean, but does feel rather cold.
