Re: Great Giveaway
I sat in the bleacher and forgot my sunblock, the stuff they gave out worked great. Also the Yankees gave away free ice cream and the end of the game that was awesome as well.

I didn't notice that it had expired, I was just thrilled that it had helioplex.
I saw people eating ice cream but there was no one giving it out where I exited. No Rally Monkeys, Towels or hankies

Re: Great Giveaway
Better than today's giveaway, which was a stiff piece of paper you could fold and use as a fan.

Re: Great Giveaway
So, I guess the reason to go to the games is for the giveaways. I prefer going to see the game. I guess I am old school.

Re: Great Giveaway
probably just fine with that close of an expiration but yes if goes very bad, I pulled out some that expired in 2003 or so this past summer and it was a nasty mess......the chemicals must break down after a certain amount of time.

This wasn't a real giveaway. They gave out sample size sunscreen tubes on a sunny day, it was purely a nice gesture that helped my Irish skin out.

Sunscreen is no good after a year, it breaks down and won't protect you as it's supposed to. So yeah, you might as well throw it out

Re: Great Giveaway
Yesterday, the piece of stiff paper may actually have been more interesting than the game.

Re: Great Giveaway
Are they still confiscating sunscreen when you try to bring your own in?

Re: Great Giveaway
They have been the last few times I've gone to YS - They make you throw yours away, but then they will sell it (overpriced) to you in their gift shops.

Re: Great Giveaway
Last Sunday there were handing it out! Perhaps that was just sunscreen confiscated from fans earlier in the season.
