Awesome.
Audience actually clapped during the cafe scene. Also, anyone else not get The Man of Steel trailer? Our screening got the about three and they were all oldies.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
Just got home after my showing (an obligatory 330am trip to the diner afterwards). Friggin epic. Loved it. I had a very lively crowd at my showing, they were into everything. Definetly alot of clapping during the last scene.
I would say there were 30-40 people in my theater that were dressed up in full Batman and Catwoman garb.
And yes, I def got the Man of Steel trailer too.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
My theater had 0 trailers. No "dont chew your popcorn/use your phone too loudly" message either. Just the "first looks" type previews and straight to the Warner Brothers logo and the movie right on the dot. I actually liked it that way although no Superman preview. I was in AMC Lincoln Square btw (for the first time) and its the most extravagant IMAX screen I can imagine. Def suggest seeing the movie there eventually after every showtime stops selling out quickly.
Seriously the best movie I have ever watched. Yes the Joker was the best character out of all 3 films but this was the best MOVIE. Ending was spectacular, wow.Twenty Seven and Counting.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
Saw the film last night. Excellent ending, great way to tie the trilogy up. Cannot wait to go see it in Lincoln Square, that IMAX is my favorite, I had to settle for Sheepshead Bay last night.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
Just saw it. Keep in mind I am not a huge Chris Nolan fan or a DC comic fan. That being said I thought it was very good but not great. I would have knocked a good 45 minutes off off it. Loved the political message and the ending.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
Sorry to cross over threads, but figured I'd get a good reply here, since you folks actually watched the film and may know of its history.
Does anyone know of any relationship between the suspect's gear (red hair, gas mask, etc) and this 1986 cartoon? Was he trying to imitate this?
Thanks.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
Went this afternoon in imax. While it was a very good movie and great ending to Nolans story, it was still the weakest of tye three ( one of them had to be). A few times I thought I was watching a Bond movie with the amazingly complex villain plan, countless henchmen and seemingly invincible hero. Still Bane was awesome and the scenes shot in Imax were so wonderful to look at, most notably the opening plane scene. I have a few plot questions but I cant format spoilers on the Nook browser so I will post later.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
I must have missed something with Batman Begins that makes people enjoy that more than this. I liked Batman Begins a lot, but I didn't think it came close to this one.

Re: 'The Dark Knight Rises' movie thread
I definetly thought it was better then BB...but not quite as good as TDK. Hard to top TDK especially with Ledger's Joker performance. But I liked TDKR alot. I was surprised by Hathaway's performance, she was much better then I expected.
