Re: Longest Thread Ever 4.0
So Sarah just went over to the hospital because she's having some contractions and they wanted her to get checked out. I'm going to wait to hear from her though before I go screaming over there. I don't thnk she's ready yet.
Or maybe I'm not ready. She sits there so refined and drinks herself half blind

Thankfully she's home. It won't be for a few more days, maybe even a week.

Yeah and they think they were really strong because she was a bit dehydrated.
Hopefully she got some sleep. She's having a hard time getting comfortable.
I remember I slept in a recliner for the last few weeks of my pregancies because I was just so grotesque and uncomfortable. She sits there so refined and drinks herself half blind

Re: Longest Thread Ever 4.0
Speaking of babies, our school district does the computerized baby program, which is supposed to teach teens why they don't want to be parents yet. They do this during health in 10th grade. Last night was Nick's turn. He did a lot better than I thought he would.
He brought it home in a real baby carrier and had to walk home from school with it.
It was really quiet from 2:30 till almost 8 pm (only cried a couple of times). From 8 till around 11, I swear the thing cried every 15 minutes. Thankfully, when he went to bed at 11, the baby let him sleep till 1:30, then only woke up to eat and burp (yes, there are specific needs each time and you have to figure out which it is). Then it stayed asleep till this morning when Nick got up.
But, when he was getting ready to leave for school this morning, it started crying and needed to eat, which takes a good 10 minutes. As soon as baby quieted down, he started up again and this time needed to be burped, which also took another 10 minutes. Nick missed a good portion of 1st period before he could finally get out of the house.
He did really well at home, but he still has to go all through the school day with the baby until last period when he gives it back. The teachers are not fans of this baby program. They get pretty annoyed when they start crying in their classes. You know you're an addict when you put Crackbook on your Crackberry. -Toaderly

Re: Longest Thread Ever 4.0
Nope. The kids have wristband with a sensor in it, and every time the baby cries, they have to "chime it" with the sensor in the baby. The wristband isn't removable. Technically, I could feed the baby after he chimed it, but he still has to be there to chime it, so he couldn't go out after school riding his bike or anything.
The teacher plugs the baby into the computer at the end of the day today and it shows him Nick's response time after each time the baby cried and if he did the proper procedure or not. It also alerts the teacher if the baby's head was allowed to droop and if the baby was shaken or dropped. Their grade (which is a huge part of this class) is determined from this information. You know you're an addict when you put Crackbook on your Crackberry. -Toaderly
