It's pretty warm in my house, but Shannen said she was cold in her room in Brooklyn and said the heat wasn't working. I told her they probably shut it down April 15. She wasn't happy.

Just took off the snow grips and we have a winter storm warning in the early hours of the AM........ wifey says we should leave tonight.......... it ain`t happening

It's a good night for a fire but of course I don't have any dry firewood right now because I moved the firewood I keep on the porch during the winter back outside to rest of the pile.

My bedroom is cool because I had the windows open all day. It felt good to me because it's hot downstairs, but hubby was cold, so he closed them.

It's hit the 100s here already air has been on in the house for two days now. It's supposed to "cool down" to the 90s this week. Harumph.

Over the weekend I got myself a holey moley, which is what you get when a mole digs under a spring-loaded mole trap. This guy has been digging for months and I've tried everything to discourage him but he just kept tunneling. I'll bet he would tunnel 20 feet a day, and push up big piles of dirt every now and then. I doubt there are others but I'll keep the trap out for a couple of weeks just in case.

At the other golf course I worked we had a mole making tunnels around the first tee/clubhouse area which was a huge nuisance. They put out the spring loaded traps but they never could get the critter. (he even had us jab along the tunnels with pitch forks)

One day I was mowing the 1st tee and before I started mowing I flatten the tunnels with my foot so I wouldn't scalp the grass. Lo and behold the critter was pushing the tunnels back up as soon as I had pushed them down. So I pulled out my pocket knife and started jabbing the area where he was trenching. We never saw another tunnel after that so I guess I got him.

Hi all. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Just been busy with family stuff and I started working (Home Health) so that's taken up a ton of my time. I hope you're all doing well!
