Morning, folks. What's going on this week?

Two-day road trip for me. How about you? Are you working all week?

Man, I don't know what I did during the night but my neck feels like one big monkey fist. Driving for three straight hours isn't going to be pleasant. Oh, well. At least it's not snowing.

Last night, I watched this show on MLBN about the 40 most memorable baseball uniforms. Good grief, some of them were ugly. Like the Giants all orange uniforms and the Phillies all red ones. While watching this hour long show, I kept wondering why the Yankees weren't making the list. It's a good thing I watched the whole show. The Yanks came in at #1 as the classiest and best uniform of all time. Then, the guy who hosted the show apologized to "all of New England" for Boston not making the top spot.

No. I'm taking Thursday off to fish and working till noon on Friday. Then a long weekend.

The 70s and 80s had some doozies. The Pirates had an all-yellow version, which made Dave Parker look like a 6'5" chicken. The White Sox wore shorts. The Padres' brown uniforms were...interesting.

But my all-time favorite, hands down, was this one:

Yeah, they high-lighted both of those, too. Some of the old Padres players were ragging pretty hard about those nasty brown uniforms. Leave it to Ray Kroc to come up with a mustard yellow and brown jersey. Some of them called the uniforms UPS jerseys.

Another one was the Houston Astro's rainbow uni's they had back in the 80's. They looked like a bad acid trip.

Hi all! Yes, my boss is on vacation so I'm stopping in. Guaranteed some disaster is going to occur as a result!

Sorry to hear about all the illnesses and injuries around here - I'll keep everyone in my prayers.

We didn't have much snow - just enough to cause an ice patch on my front steps. Yay whee. I had to work yesterday ( ) and the snow wasn't an issue, but the holiday schedules for the bus/train were - it took me two hours to get home! Oh well, today is another day.

Have as good a day as possible!

Interesting. I remember going to a very important doctor's appointment for my son the winter after he was born and it was snowing at the time. We're going up a hill on the street where the office was and just couldn't make it up the street. It didn't even seem like that much of an incline, but we were just spinning the tires. After a few minutes I reached over and hit the button to turn off the traction control (it's on by default) and the car shot up the hill like it was nothing.

I am willing to bet you thought the TC was on and it was actually off. I know it's set to on as the default setting, but sometimes it's possible for the button to get pushed accidentally, depending on where it is. Granted, a light usually comes on on the dash telling you it's off, but it really sounds like you were turning it on when you thought you were turning it off.
