Since September of 2002 I had the honor and privilage of covering the Staten Island Yankees. I felt my audience had grew from the small local Staten Island Die-Hards and players families to the thousands of you who made it worth while the past two years

The experience has been one I enjoyed and will always cherrish, but now it is time to move on. For the 2010 season I will not be covering the Staten Island Yankees for Gotham Baseball. I will be moving to a much smaller role with the magazine.

This will allow me to concentrate more on my goal of entering the United States Air Force after I complete my Bachalor’s Degree from St. John’s University. With my time I will be studying for various exams as well undergoing a phyiscal fitness program to get back into shape for the military.

Thank you guys very much. I will continue to provide coverage until June at which point the new writer would take over. We are in the process of finding a new writer, when I get more info I will pass it along.

In other news....
Since I will be leaving I need to clear out inventory. Which means all the Game Used Staten Island Yankees jerseys I was selling will now see price cuts. E-mail me if you are interested.

Adam Warren and Neil Medchill look to be the fast risers out of the group. Higashioka calls a game like a veteran and could fly up if he wasnt blocked at the upper levels. I also wouldnt rule out D-Mack.

I will be with Gotham Baseball until around June, after that I will go to a few games to take photos for the magazine and other places. I will be using most of my time to study and prepare for the physical exams.
