Agreed. If tonight gets rained out I'll be very unhappy.
Win one for The Boss.

Tomorrow's weather looks equally bad. They'll probably try to cram the DHer in on Sunday.

I will be blacked out for tomorrow's 1 P.M. game so, selfishly, I hope they play tonite so that I can witness Jeter's history making hit. ........btw, I predict a lead-off HR.

Am I the only one who doesn't care about the hit record?

It’s so dumb that they’re going to play..and equally dumb that Joe is playing his starters. I guess he didn’t learn when Posada got hurt in Detroit and then again against the Sox?
My father offered me tickets to the game (via my brother-in-law, who has great seats), but I wasn't about to go in this weather.......

Why? It just seems like such an odd thing, career franchise hits leader? Sure it's a nice novelty but in the greater scheme of things it's just going to be one of many by Jeter. I'd think 3,000 would be a big deal and then if he manages sticks around long enough to get and of these milesones: 3,500, 4,000 and 4,256 and 4,257.

I for one, as a Yankee fan, find it significant.I used to think I was crazy... Now I am sure of it..

Exactly. It's important because he'll have more hits than any other Yankee in their rich history and most of us have been watching him play his entire career.

Rainout after an off day? Come on, everyone agrees 2 straight days without baseball stinks.
