dye to a's
don't know if this was already posted but from espn.com:
It's official. Jermaine Dye was traded to the Oakland A's.
The three-team deal sends Dye to the A's and Neifi Perez
to the Royals, while the Rockies get three minor leaguers
from the A's. Check out Rumor Central for more hot
scoop.

Re: Dye to A`s
Probably, unless the As promptly go out and lose their next six or seven games. The Dye deal represents a big-time gamble by the Oakland organization. If the As don't get to the series and can't unload their free-agents-to-be, the franchise will have taken a huge hit that will take years to recover from. Very interesting move.Originally posted by Michaels07

Wow...that Kansas City organization really is terrible. Even though he's having a subpar year, trading Dye for Neifi Perez straight up is almost as bad as, say, trading a switch-hitting middle infield prospect for a reliever with a career 5+ ERA

Away from Coors, Perez is essentially Rey Ordonez.

It looks like a case of Dye not being quiet as good, and Perez a little better than most of us thought.
