Tigers 71 continues his trend of struggling in the early stages of Majors. The course was there for the taking also.

Re: British Open 2009
OK I suck at Tiger Woods '10 and I just shot at -12 on Turnberry from the blue tees. Hit 17 GIR and 14 fairways.

Big round for Tiger coming up in 2 minutes. The leaders are at -6 and the wind is gathering.

Re: British Open 2009
Tiger pars the first 6 holes...birdies the 7th hole..then decides to play like I do when I've had a few beers.
Might miss the cut now."Owning the Yankees," Steinbrenner once said, "is like owning the Mona Lisa."

Re: British Open 2009
So much for watching golf this weekend. Tiger at +7 through 16. Probably won't make the cut.
Although if Watson stays in contention, that would be fun to watch. If not, ABC better hope there's some compelling reason to watch.

No Tiger. Even with Watson still doing well, it seems like nobody cares.

Re: British Open 2009
Just what I thought. No posts for two days. Nobody cares.

Without Tiger or Phil, golf is dead. It might as well join the ranks of water polo and curling."They're going to send me back to Omaha, and I don't even live there." - Rube Baker

Re: British Open 2009
I turned it off after Tiger finished on Friday..what can I say, he's the reason why I started playing back in 1997 and he's the reason why I watch.

Re: British Open 2009
Tom Watson tied for the lead at -2 with Lee Westwood and Chris Wood. So the old guy is still very much alive.
Ross Fisher was actually at -5 and had a 2 stroke lead, but a quadruple bogey really hurt his chances. He made another bogey to drop to even par."They're going to send me back to Omaha, and I don't even live there." - Rube Baker

Watson needs a par on 18 for the Championship.

Been rooting for Watson since he had that great first round.

Re: British Open 2009
Tom really lost his nerve at the end there. I think Cink will win it now.

Re: British Open 2009
Was rooting for Watson. That putt on 18 never had a chance and was disappionting. Still he had a great Open.
