Amazing pitcher..fastball velocity is down 1.5 mph from last season though.

Re: Tim Lincecum Thread
I love this guy. This guy is just a beast of a pitcher. If Joba turns into half the pitcher Lincecum is I'd be happy.
Still and will always be a New England Patriots fan.

Re: Tim Lincecum Thread
On top of everything else, he made a defensive play last night that you would expect from Ozzie Smith or Omar Vizquel. I just hope he doesn't burn himself out physically by the time he's 30....or sooner.
I read in an article from Sports Illustrated that his Dad would place a dollar bill on the mound at point his hand should be at the end of his delivery. He must have cleaned his father out by the time he was 12, but it sure is paying off now.September 28, 2008 - the day the HOF got a wake-up Moose call.

Let him do it for as long as Santana did and in the AL before you start to compare.

I watched the game last night. I have him in one of my leagues (sadly this is the year we have to throw all players back). Only 24 years old and that's scary.

Exactly. The delivery of his makes me nauseous.

Re: Tim Lincecum Thread
I didn't see any reference to career, which obviously favors Santana.

Re: Tim Lincecum Thread
I just don't see the point of bringing up Santana at all. He's not even close to being as good as Lincecum is this year. Santana isn't as good as few others in the NL too.

His changeup is disgusting. I can't believe how good it got.

His delivery is biomechanics at its best.

Re: Tim Lincecum Thread
I love it. I created my own guy in MLB 2K9/Show with his delivery, it's harmonious.

A 3 hit complete game shutout, one start after his 2 hit complete game shutout against the Cards.
Yikes!

Re: Tim Lincecum Thread
That wasn't a CG. He pitched 7 out of the 9 innings on Saturday. He also scored twice, both on walks.

I always think he'll be done in his 30's because of the way he throws

Re: Tim Lincecum Thread
I haven't seen him pitch. What kind of action does he have which seems awkward? He's pushing with his arm, not his legs?
