Interview with Trunders coach on Z-Mac
"Rated as the sixth best prospect in the entire Yankees farm system by Baseball America, Z-Mac was picked in the third round of the 2006 draft by New York, and has moved through the levels of the system pretty quickly. This is his first season at the Double-A level."

How good can he be? Our number 3rd pick from 4 years ago.

Probably depends on where his fastball is sitting. Look at Wang for example and look what he did from 2005-2008.

Re: Interview with Trunders coach on Z-Mac
"Zach McAllister has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week. In two starts, he went 2-0 with an 0.66 ERA in 13.2 innings of work."
And another great outting for Z-Mac. Way to go Z-Mac

Re: Interview with Trunders coach on Z-Mac
I think he could reach #2 but I think he will be a very very good #3

He's pretty young for these leagues he's been making a joke out of, and he's still got a bunch of projection left.

Yeah he's done, is it a reach to say exceptionally?, well in leagues where guys are older than him. and I don't think he's done growing so he could add a few more ticks to his fastball

it's his first full year in AAA... give him time to adjust before you write him off

Re: Interview with Trunders coach on Z-Mac
i am not writing him off but his star certainly fallen quickly. he is no longer considered a top 20 prospect. last year he was arguably in the top 5. heck he was a throw in for the proposed lee for montero trade

Re: Interview with Trunders coach on Z-Mac
i'd still put him in the top 20, but he's fallen mainly because of the younger kids in the system having made such huge strides this year that they now outrank him
it's been a good year for the farm in general

Not til next year. The ankle injury was more serious than they originally thought.

There's something else there. I mean to go from 4 HR's allowed last year to 18 this year in the same number of innings? It sounds to me like he's leaving the ball up and is just having some mechanical issues.
